GEN 102 - English I
Your Instructor
I am Dr. Charmayne Brown. I have more than 15 years of collegiate teaching experience at various colleges and universities. I’m excited to now be teaching English I here at Purpose University. Currently, I’m also an Associate Professor of Practice at Virginia Tech, as well as a television journalist. Needless to say, I'm passionate about learning and teaching students.
When I’m not teaching, I like working with clients on their business services. As owner of SLAMS Multimedia Professional Services, I help other small businesses and entrepreneurs with marketing, communications, and public relations practices.
I have a Bachelor of Arts from the College of Charleston in Mass Communications (Broadcast Journalism), a Master of Business Administration from Nova Southeastern University in Entrepreneurship and Small Business Operations, and a PhD from Clemson University in Rhetorics, Communication, and Information Design.
