Introduction to College Success
Your Instructor
Daniel graduated from the University of Idaho where he received a Master's degree in Natural Resources with a focus on Environmental Education and Science Communication. He has always had a zest for being in nature, whether going hiking or studying snow science in the field, he appreciates all aspects of the environment. He loves to travel to different countries to learn about different cultures as well as the different flora and fauna in each location; from the pygmy venomous asps in Costa Rica to the penguins in New Zealand, to the giant moose in Montana, they each play a role in their selected environment. Like these animals, humans play a part in preserving them and education is a great starting point.
His next goal is to achieve a Doctorate degree in Education Leadership, focusing on higher education. With this, he would like to make a positive impact and change the educational world. He believes that brick-and-mortar classroom learning alone is a thing of the past, and feels that in our microwaved, fast-paced society, we can do better, by making things more accessible to everyone, including those that live in more remote areas, or may have physical disabilities that do not afford them opportunities to travel. A more forward-thinking approach is important, one of which he plans to use with all of his students to ensure they have the resources, information, and support they need to reach their fullest potential.
